More family reunions. Our Inshore charter on Thursday was a big happy group that was delighted to be all together.

On Friday, Tim & Dan Shook brought 3 children between them, the youngest was first-grader Hagan, and they had a great time together too. Everyone caught plenty of Fluke but not a keeper in the lot. It sure is a pleasure when well-manered kids come fishing with us. These three are a credit to their respective parents. Hope we see this family froup again.

Today, the Inshore charter was booked by John Moss who was up from DC. Again the party was made up of brothers, sisters, and children. Everyone including Jeff caught Fluke. A few were close to keeping size but not a one hit the 18" mark. We did have some flurries where the Fluke came up as fast as everyone could reel.

We have heard a lot of comments from charter customers this year that "Wouldn't it be nice to be able to take one (1) Fluke per person home with us?" I would bet that the charged mortality to the Fluke biomass would not change much if that were allowed since a high percentage of throwbacks get charged as "dead" by the feds.

We canceled an Offshore trip on Sunday due to the weather offshore. Not pretty. We had offered this charter Monday as a weather day but they refused. Then when the weather offshore turned bad, they wanted to go on Monday. When they turned Monday down, we booked John Moss' trip. Just some advice to newcomer offshore fishermen. Take the Captain's advice especially on weather. You will get to go fishing offshore but safely.
